How about a Drawing Business?

I did it for a while in college. I drew for other students for a fee, and it worked. It gave me big money which I spent for books, food, and small pleasure trips. If you can draw well, why not try it out as a business. And the availability of the Internet can help you do your drawing business online and sell to the world!

Sometimes, we look for livelihood elsewhere and not realize that God has always provided for it at the tips of our fingers. All we need to do is grab a paper and pen and do it. Perhaps, you've been doing a job for years now and are dragging yourself each morning to it, although the passion in your heart is something else--like painting, drawing, or photography. And because of the silly job you're wasting your time on, you have no more time for your heart passion. Think about it. Your true potential may be waiting for you once you quit your job and go full time on your drawing skill, and make a business of it!

Why didn't I keep up with my small drawing business in college? Well, I was too engrossed with books and writing that I forgot about making a living with my drawing business. I discovered late in life that my true love were books and writing. My job blinded me into thinking I was carved out for employment. Anyway, I still did some of it after college, drafting house and building plans for people who needed them for building their new houses or business buildings. I made a good deal of money.

If you have this knack for drawing, keep at it until you attain a measure of good skill. If you are a student and your fellow students ask your help with their drawing projects, be practical about it and start charging them. You may draw for free in your grade school days, but in high school and college? And especially if you are in bad need of cash? Why not sell your skill? As the saying goes--nothing today is for free.

You may start out by advertising your skill online. Put up an online ad offering your drawing skill for a cost. Students may have need for your skills, especially those who lack the talent but badly need to produce quality drawings for their school projects. There are also students in groups who need good quality drawings for their thesis. Yes, they can easily get drawings online on Google images, but there are also certain requirements where manual drawing is required, like drawing the face of a person.

Fashion often needs drawing skills to layout styles in clothes or a hair dress. These things need imagination to be drawn on paper and cannot be simply derived from Google images. Better yet, why not be in the fashion business if you are a good drawer who also loves hair styles or clothes or shoes? If you have these qualities, you don't need to look for a job. Develop your skills, tie them up with your hobby, and market them all! Be jobless big-time! For more exclusive tips on this, get your FREE subscription by filling out the Contact Form.

In the meantime, watch this girl who developed her drawing skills into a lucrative business!

Jobless Isn't the End of the World. It May be the Start..

Jobless isn't the end of the world. Some people overreact when they lose their jobs, like it's the end of the world for them. It's understandable, especially when people think their jobs are the only way they can support their families--because that's how their minds have been conditioned through the years.

But this is a great deception. Jobs are not the only means we can get a livelihood, even for you who do not have enough money to start a business. So what if you lost your job? There are lots of alternatives around. You can start with your own buy and sell business, for instance. You can associate with a licensed real estate broker and help him sell his properties. I started out like that and got good money out of my commission helping a real estate broker sell her properties. I also got good money helping someone sell her car.

By doing the above, I didn't have any boss. I made good money even while being jobless. You can also try making your own goods and sell them. I saw a lady on TV who was interviewed about how she started a business with P500 selling molded chocolates. It grew into a big business, and now she's jobless big-time! Imagine starting out with a mere P500? You don't need big capital. You need big imagination.

My son gets good money now and then by selling coffee. He sells 10 boxes of coffee and gets P1,000 for it. He delivers them to his customers. You just need to imagine how to make money, have the guts to actually do it, and presto! Then, you can figure out how to improve on your sales strategy and sell more. Soon, before you realize it, you'd get more orders than you can handle, and need to hire extra hand. That's how a lot of businesses started--through a small and simple direct selling activity. Then you later end up being jobless big-time!

I know of a small group of students who started with tutoring kids with their computer assignments. Today, they have a university business which is a famous computer college in the Philippines. They started being jobless with tutoring sidelines. Now, they're jobless big-time. You can start out like this, too! Just have the imagination and guts! Anything You Touch Turns to Gold

Amazingly, there are sales people who seem to be like that. Anything they touch turns to gold. Admittedly, I'm not like that. I have to dig deep into the ground and look for rocks with bits of gold in them, or wade in rivers to pan gold dust, so to speak, before I hit gold. Sometimes I watch people with the gold touch and shake my head in wonder. Why wasn't I made out like that?

Anyway, it's useless to keep wondering. What works is do dirty work. Roll up the sleeves and start shoveling. Yup, in networked direct selling, you dig deep and wide to look for people who need your product. Well, carrying quality products that remedy constipation problems, being overweight, and weak immune defense, it's easy to scout for the right customers.

Did you know that about 7 to 8 out of 10 Filipinos complain of being constipated? I was amazed when I did a small survey of folks I came in contact with. All of them said they had problems eliminating wastes, which often only happened every other day or worse, once every 3 or 5 days. They need the product, Optrimax Plum Delite. And selling it is like anything you touch turns to gold!

Another obvious problem among Filipinos is being overweight. Look around and you'd find 3 folks overweight out of 5. If not overweight, they have a bulging tummy. And they would give anything to get rid of bulges in the wrong places and start looking right. The moment they learn of a plum burns fat like crazy and makes you lose weight phenomenally without dieting or exercising, they want your product. In a sense, anything you touch turns to gold!

Another problem most Filipinos have is weakened immune system. They easily catch colds and cough and flu, especially when the weather is bad or the climate abruptly changes. Many kids are susceptible to viral infection, like dengue virus. Why is this? It's weak immune system. And why is it weak? Due to lack of Vitamin C. And I mean real, good, Vitamin C. Fruits and veggies you buy from the market aren't that powerful with Vitamin C anymore. Vitamin C quickly evaporates once the fruit or veggie source is mishandled or exposed to sunlight too much.

So you offer people Vital C sodium ascorbate in veggie caps. And you know what? Once they see how effective it is--and how it doesn't give them stomach acidity but even eliminate overall acidity in them (acidic environment is where sickness and diseases and harmful bacteria thrives)--they'd start buying Vital C like crazy. And it's like anything you touch turns to gold! You see, Filipinos are often sick with constipation, weight problems, and simple ailments. They need your help if you're an Optrimax Plums and Vital C marketer. With that, who needs a job? To hell with it. I say go jobless big time. Jobless wanted!

Thank God that You're Jobless!

Oh yeah, I mean it. Thank God that you're jobless. Jobs always get in the way of real livelihood--I mean, that which can really make you live, not just exist like a robot. Jobs make you think you're doing fine, like you're on living mode. But honestly, I very, very seldom see an employment pay that enables you and your family to be on living mode. For instance, in the Philippines, does a P485 daily minimum really sustain a family of four? Really?

But most people stick it out with minimum, most times even lower than that, hell in hell out. The thought of having a job soothes them well, even if the job results more to mounting loans and unpaid bills rather than a livelihood. But people still do not want to open their eyes to reality. They still hold on to their jobs and look for one if they're unemployed, not realizing that being jobless is a blessing. It can start you off to a real livelihood adventure, one that really translates to income that sustains and empowers.

Thus, thank God that you're jobless. Now that you were forced to cross the bridge and had it burned for you, too, you have no other recourse but to look for an alternative. And I hope it would indeed be an alternative, not the same curse all over again. Don't look for something you've just proven to be ineffective, something that trashed you after you have enslaved yourself to it. Don't take a medicine that gave you lots of side effects. Be jobless big-time! Thank God that you're jobless!

The good news is, there are lots of good and feasible alternatives today in this modern, Internet age! And actually, it's a real shame to stick to traditional employment when online marketing and small businesses empowered by the Internet have been providing new avenues to high income generation, even income that keeps growing even if you forget about it after working hard to grow it at least two years. Residual income is like that. You invest some time and money on the small business for a year or two, and then when all basics are in place, it starts earning money for you in increasing increments, even if you stop doing the business. These businesses are for real. They're more real than traditional jobs! You earn something to the tune of Php 100,000 a month, and that's a conservative estimate.

But it takes hard work for 2 to 3 years, doing direct selling first!

Well, detractors say, not all folks who do an alternative livelihood like that earn thus. Many of them fail because such alternative livelihood using alternative systems are really scams. Admittedly, there are companies like that, like some network marketing companies, using systems as stupid as they are. Once they earn big money they close shop or change system, leaving you shocked with a gaping mouth, wondering what happened to your hard-earned investment.

But scams like that are not exclusive to alternative livelihood. Lots of traditional companies offering you jobs are also scams. They give you below minimum wage, do not remit your SSS contributions, don't pay your overtime work, and some even keep you to a 6-month work contract, after which they fire you without separation pay. Isn't that a scam, too? So what do they say? Go find an honest company. And that's what I say, too. Go find an honest alternative livelihood!

However, personally, I've always found working for a company all your life and then retiring to get sick and spend all your pension and savings to drug maintenance, check ups, and costly medical treatments a big SCAM! The company sucks all your youth and energy for its benefit (and just gives you a measly salary and pension). When your youth and energy are all gone (and nothing left for you and your family), it kicks you off via the so-called retirement, and all you get from the years left you is a sickly old body your family cannot enjoy. Instead, your family has to suffer taking care of you in your sick bed. To me, that's a scam!

The best years of your life are not spent with family. They're spent with the company! What a tragedy! Best years should be enjoyed with God, service to Him, and the company of family and loved ones. That's the way it should be!

I've seen degreed people so proud of their so-called "high-paying" jobs, not realizing they're being short-changed. Why? Because their salaries have been pegged but their responsibilities and work load are not, and they never, never enjoy residual income. In fact, they don't know what it is. They're too blind bragging about their jobs and salaries and offices they fail to see that they're missing more than half of their lives. They'd die without seeing their real God-given potentials, and what fun they'd have enjoyed if they had spent their best years and strength with service to God and fellowship with family. Jobs prevent you from realizing your true potentials. And they thank God for their jobs.

Well, thank God for everything, even jobs, but you should know that God has something better prepared for you. We can all do a small alternative business which can later reward us with rich residual income. Why this? So we can devote quality time for service to God and His Kingdom building on earth. You won't be able to do that being tied to your neck in your job.
